The Greystone Design Construction was hired to build this Ankora retaining wall for an upcoming development in Langford. The property consisted of rocky terrain and the client wanted to develop the land for future housing. Using any other retaining wall system would have required blasting of the rock, which would have cost the latent more money and taken more time.
After collaborating with the geotechnical engineer, the best way to move forward was to combine the use of Ankora base plates and cast in place graded beam. The blocks were then installed on top of these concrete pads according to Ankora guidelines. GDM Construction built this wall in approximately two months
