In 2020, Ruth Johnson Park and Centennial Trails underwent closure due to a landslide, necessitating comprehensive rehabilitation measures. The City of White Rock entrusted Greystone Design Construction with the task of restoring the trail system, including the reinstatement of staircases.

Greystone Design Construction commenced the project with meticulous site preparation, encompassing the removal and excavation of soil and debris resulting from the landslide. Critical stabilization efforts were then executed, wherein the application of soil nails and tecco mesh was meticulously undertaken to secure the surrounding hillsides.

Further enhancement of the infrastructure involved the installation of trench drains utilizing granular fill, a crucial step in mitigating future drainage issues. Finally, GDM Construction meticulously reconstructed the staircases and reinstated the existing walkways, ensuring the restoration of accessibility and safety for public use.
Throughout the project, adherence to professional standards and meticulous execution were paramount, reflecting our commitment to delivering quality outcomes in alignment with the City of White Rock’s vision for the community’s recreational infrastructure.
